Congratulations to all of our wrestlers who advanced to Eastern Nationals in Maryland on May 5th. We wish you all the best of luck as you compete against some of the best wrestlers in the area.
For those who will not be making the trip south that day, we will be participating in a fundraising event for the club. You and your family are invited to join us on Saturday, May 5, 2012, for the 3rd Annual Daniel Serfass Friends and Family Memorial Picnic. The time is 1:21 PM - 11:00 PM at the Mill House, located at 1732 Route 212 in Quakertown. $12 Gift Passes are available at the door and children 12 and under as well as all QYC wrestlers are admitted free of charge.
Your purchase of a $12.00 Gift Pass includes: hamburgers, hotdogs, sides and desserts, assorted beverages, pretzels, beer, games for kids and adults, entry for door prizes, lots of fun and more. The Gift Pass covers cost of food and beverages and the remaining profits go to QYC for the Daniel Serfass Memorial Fund.
As many of you know, this fund was established to assist our families who are having financial difficulties cover the cost of headgear, wrestling shoes, tournament entry fees, camp costs, and registration fees. We have also offered several giveaways to our wrestlers (free wrestling shoes and camp/clinic registration) through this fund set up by the Serfass family.
Please try to stop in at some time during the picnic to offer your support to the memorial fund and to show our thanks to the family for their continued generosity.
